Go Ice Skating or watch an Ice Hockey Game

Morzine has a large outdoor ice skating rink that is open to the public. It’s a great place to have some fun with friends and family, and it’s also a good way to get some exercise. Skate rental is available at the rink from around €10 per session.

The local Ice Hockey team is the Morzine Penguins and there is no better way to spend an evening than watching them battle with one their rivals on the ice. There is a great bar, restaurant as well as big stand where the crowds are always in full voice supporting the Penguins!

Alta Lumina

Alta Lumina is an enchanted night walk that takes you on a magical journey through the forest in Les Gets, France. The trail is illuminated by colorful lights and projections, and there are interactive elements along the way. The story of Alta Lumina is about a traveling music-maker who takes flight in a hot-air balloon, and you will follow his incredible journey beyond the mountains.

Alta Lumina is a great activity for all ages and abilities, and it is wheelchair accessible. The trail is approximately one kilometer long and takes about 45 minutes to complete.

  • Alta Lumina is open year-round, but it is best to book your tickets in advance, especially during the peak winter season.

Go Bowling

Le Strike Roc Avoriaz is a bowling alley located in the heart of the Avoriaz ski resort. It is a great place to go for some fun and excitement with friends and family, regardless of your age or skill level. The bowling alley has 10 lanes, as well as a bar and arcade area. You can rent bowling shoes and balls at the bowling alley, and there are also bumpers available for young children.

Tips:

  • The bowling alley is open from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM every day.
  • It is best to book your lane in advance, especially during the peak winter season.

  • There is a food and beverage menu available at the bowling alley, so you can grab a bite to eat or a drink while you play.
  • The bowling alley is also a great place to host a birthday party or other event.

Even if you don’t ski or snowboard, you can still enjoy the après-ski in Morzine. Morzine is bustling with so many bars and restaurants in the village where you can relax and have a drink with friends after a day on the mountain. You have Le Tremplin at the base of the Pleney Gondola which has great open air terrace which boasts amazing bands  and DJs everyday. Then of course we have the world famous Folie Douce in Avoriaz, it is a bucket list experience for all you mountain party people.
